International Night VII, 2008.
The VII Internasional night for 2008 was held in Pusdiklat Bahasa Badiklat Dephan, Jati Street No. 1 Pondok Labu, Southern Jakarta on August 28, 2008. This agenda was attended by the officials of Badiklat Dephan, the defence attaches from countries, ambassadors and delegation of available language agencies in Jakarta.
The Internasional night this time had the theme “promoting mutual understanding through languages and cultures “ (to promote mutual understanding among countries through the languages and the cultures) was followed by the Arabic student, Germany, Japan, Mandarin, Russia, England, Indonesia (the foreign student for the preparation course for the Staff and Command College) including the officers from India, Pakistan, South Korea, America, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Cambodia and Thailand.
This already routine activity is carried out each middle of the year by presenting the art creation, the typical characteristics of food and the drink respectively the countries as well as their traditional clothes that were put on.

It’s was amazing for me to joined the international night. why? I get much information about another country such us their culture, their language, their food and tourism site just in one night. you can imagine if you must go to Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Pakistan, India, USA, Filiphina and South Korea how long it takes and how much money we must pay for it. Although I had gone abroad to Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and Korea but it different, because that time i go there for special task in a short time so I hadn’t time to relaxed and go to enjoy the food, the culture and tourism site. By the way I wish in the future i can bring my family to get vacation in other countries.

It’s a magnificent night.., cause through it I can know generally about foreign country, their language, culture, food, tourism, etc..
About the perform I like Chinese much because I think it’s a different from the others & I supposed their language become the second international language after English because as U c that world market will appears in 2014..
About another stand I thought it just a simple one.. But,..
I’m wrong it’s fully explainable, the food quiet delicious too such as in India stand & American..

International night it’s very exciting, because I’ve abroad ten times in last twelve years (8 countries), but in here I can abroad to 16 countries only one night, like a dreaming. I hope and I suggestion the International night agenda can do twice a year because this event can help students to know about cultural, food, etc from the foreign countries only one night.

I think the last international night that held on 28th of August 2008 was an amazing event. Many people from different country came to this event, many people was satisfy with this event, including me of course because at the time we can see many culture from different country, we can eat many food from the other country at the same time, we can sing, laugh, and dance together without worry that we are different with them…that is awesome I think..
so…I hope it can be held twice a years because maybe there are some student especially the student that study in the beginning of the year, because this event usually held in September or August so, for the student that have to study at the beginning of the year cannot attend this event.

Good morning Sir,its a pleasure for me that i`m permitted to give some comments about this topic,The International Night Annual Event.If you dont mind,perhaps you can see me behind the man who wore a redshirt,thats me Sir.
First of all i want to say,its better for all students to join this event and promote a culture which has different typical with ours.In addition to those experience,we may taste some food and drink that they served,and got some strange after tasted them.
Mainly,our knowledge and experience are increased with this,so i can be a talkative guy if i meet my others friend after i finish my KIBI course.Thanks to you Sir for some opportunities that given for us,so we can held this event.
I hope it will be happened twice a year.

Good morning,sir, my name is Dwi, one of students KIBI. My response about the international night is it’s a special moment for me because this is the first time I followed it. The first time I heard about the international night was very confused and I asked to myself about it. Then I get the point when our instructor told us about it. In this moment, I got a lot of experiences like taste traditional food of another country and get more knowledge about their culture, etc. Then after go around to every stand, finally I stopped in Philippines stand which my classmate Lt. Kho and Lt. Daniswara became his assistance. Then Lt. Kho introduced me with officer who guard the stand and I got the change to share about the culture of Philippines and another story of his family. I think it’s a excited conversation and entirely of the international night is unforgetable moment.

My name is Cahyo. My rank is 1st Liutenent in Indonesian Air Force and now I am a student in Pusdiklat Bahasa Dephan for KIBI Course.
For the International Night, Sir.. It is verry pleasure and exciting. It was an honour for me to attended in that event. From the International Night we can learn various culture from another country (even just for a litte of course).
I am very agree with the theme that was writen : “Promoting mutual understanding through language and culture”. Of course… I think if we can understanding their language as well as their culture, we can undestanding the rest.. (more easier mind)..
So Sir.. thanks to GOD and thanks to you also to give me a chance to be one of KIBI student. I hope someday I will get my chance to visiting the other country to make me understanding whole the world..

It’s was an amazing event that was held in several days ago. although there’s a most disappointing thing in the evening but finally everything ran well. a heavy raining was annoyed the event. it happened in the evening when the event would be started at 7 p.m. it made some parts of some stands were broken. but fortunately, our stand( Australi stand ) was established or built in a permanent building such a garage.so that it didn’t matter for us. Otherwise it’s a disaster for some stands which established in temporary building. the water falln from the sky was destroyed their properties. however they had to be repaired in a few time before the event starts.
At 6 p.m the raining stopped. all the people tried to clean their stand as long as they can. they worked hard to get trough with their job.
Finally te event started at 7 p.m. a lot of people attended those event. not only indonesian people, but also foreign people were enjoying the event. there’re so many performaces performed in that special moment. almost all of the students performed some cultures based on their stand country.
I was included in Australian stand. besides tried to performed Bush Dance we also performed Waltzing matilda Song. it’s a famous australian song. Can you guess who’s the singer? Ya…it’s me. all the Kibi students selected me as a singer. actually i’m not a singer. i just like to listen the music in my spare time but it doesn’t mean that i’m a singer.I really nervous when I had to sing in front of the audiences. Can you imagine how difficult i tried to learned that song in a few days? it’s about 2 days. actually i didn’t now the meaning of that song. so it’s very hard for me to leraned. but fortunately i could finish all my responsibility well. and all my friends did too. they’re eager to dance. some of they tried to ask the audience to dance with them.
The event was ended in 10 p.m. but in the end of the event, the jury announced the result of their appreciates. the students from Aussie stand were surprised when the jury announced that we’re the first winner of performance catagory. WOW…it’s was unbelievable. we never predicted it before. all in all that’s why i said IT WAS AN AMAZING EVENT. IT MEANS THAT ALL OUR SACRAFISE WAS PAYED!!!

International night, the night that I`ve never known before cause it`s not familiar night in my live before. All I know about the night are like common night or heavy night or even market night. In addition of those nights there`s international night, may be if I didnt join the KIBI its impossible for me to know about the international night.
It was my first time to join in the International night, and I was very honest became one of the student who were involved in it. Couple days before the event were conducted, I was preparing all the necesarry things that we needed to established the stand while the others were preparing their own responsibilty either. It took many ways and tricks, and spent lots of my sweat and power to build the stand but I was very excited and happy because there were lots of people came and smiled.
There were 17 stans, and each stan represented the culture, food and arts about the nation. I was joining the australian stan and lots of activities that I have done there.
I used to be one of the three person who got a responsibilty to stay in the stan and waiting for the guest or jury. After the jury finised many people attented the stand and finally we ran out the food.
Couple minutes before the last performance`s done, we danced together with others and we were succeed to perform our performance. Hopely we`ll have another event just as well as this event. I would like to thanks to the institute for conducting this intenational night so because of this event I get the new experience.

Good morning Sir, I’m Sopyan Dima from KIBI 71 please accept my honor to give me a chance to celebrate International night. Actually this is the second time for me to stay here, however I hadn’t had experience like this in first coming in 2003.
This is a miracle experience toward my life I expect that someday i take another chance to do the similiar to it.
Furthermore I eccepted many knowledge about the culture from other countries and such kinds of food as well. In addition my performence made you along with guests were comfortable and attempt to get along us.
I look foward to next time it will be conducted twice a year.

It’s more creative especially for the stands eventhough we only have little time. Although KIBI ‘s stand didn’t get The Award, we were happy because we can get The Best Performance. Good morning Sir, I’m Chief Sgt Sopyan Dima from Papua. My English becomes lower and lower due to my unit that few people are not interested in it. Iwas here in 2003 and just arrived 3 weeks ago. I want to adjust to my skill and due to International Night is absolutely helpful to be accostumed to hearing the native speaker. With this miracle experience I try my best to explore more about English

Dear all,
I am so glad that you have participated in the international night. I love reading your writting. Some of you really wish that it can be held more than once a year (but then it will not amazed anymore, right?).
You are special lucky personnel, not everyone can get this chance. Please use this valuable opportunity to enhance your language ability. Optimize the use of any facilities in PBHS. After you return to your own unit, try to maintain it. I know it will be harder, I used to have the same problem. I really encourage you all to use blog facilities to contact you instructors or even your friends, at least you can still maintain your vocabulary knowledge and writting skills. And this knowledge also has positive correlation with the other skills. For those who have no internet conection, listen to English songs and news, read English materials. Then you will be ready anytime to administer English test in order to join courses in foreign countries.
For anyone who has not got a chance, I wish you will get it one day. Just be ready.

I would like give comment about International Night. acording to my opinion it’s amazing….
Because, there were many stand at there and every stand presented their perfomance. I joined with Australian stand and I was very happy because our perfomance became to be the first winner. Unbelieveable….because there were many perfomance more atractive but the judge choose our perfomance became the winner… thats my lucky days 🙂

How lucky I am.. as a KIBI’s student in the second period of the year. There are several language courses in the period, a new circumstance and so many new friends I get. There is an amazing event as well, called International Night. It is an event with many kinds of Stands which each of them represents its language or culture. It’s the first time for me to get the kind of experience since I attend the military. It’s merry, wonderful, and brightly sparkling!!

First of all, i wanna thank to God almighty for blessing all of us in this holy month.
And about international Night 2008, actually it was my first time to see that kind of event and get involved in it, it was a great experience, especially for me.. cause there were so many people from more than 10 country participate in the event.

Its a amazing event we could meets some people from other countries, so I have tried many food and beer. although the candidate had proublems with disaster (The rain) we enjoyed that even. I was becams like as Hulk. Its a Hero while American stand showed to public. The poeple said, ” Oh He isn’t Hulk but like as Grandong (Stories evil from Java)” Haa…haaaa I laugh my self.
